Halls of Residence
The ERDIS is the regional authority which is in charge of the University halls of Residence. Urbino has around 1,500 beds available in halls of residence and hostels for students, with single and double rooms and lots of commonspaces. Tridente, Aquilone, Vela and Serpentine residence halls have most of the beds. They are in the Colle dei Cappuccini complex, designed by architect Giancarlo De Carlo, located a few hundred metres from the old town centre, to which it is linked by a public bus service. Other single and double rooms are located in the old town centre (Casa della Studentessa) near the “ex Sogesta” scientific campus 3 km from Urbino and at the Pesaro site. Rooms are assigned by selection, on the basis of an appropriate call for applications. Lodging is free of charge for scholarship holders, at a subsidized price for those eligible and on payment, with diversified tariffs, for all other applicants - www.ersurb.it > alloggi.
The halls of residence have 2 typologies of rooms:
- Double rooms with a private bathroom.
- Single rooms are divided in separate blocks of 16, 8 or 6 rooms, each block has its own kitchen, and bathrooms which are shared by the students of each block.
There are no single rooms with bathroom
Rooms are fully furnished with a wardrobe, a desk and a small armchair, bookshelves, a chest of drawers, stool, blankets, pillow, bed and mattress
ERDIS does not supply sheets, pillow covers and towels.
Guesthouse Service

Teachers and students can stay at the Internazionale Hall of Residence (formerly the “casa dello studente”) on a guesthouse basis (for short periods).

Single Room €. 25,00 per night per person; double Room (sharing with another student) €. 18,00 per night per person.
Fees for University professors
Single Room €. 35,00 for one night per person; double Room €. 28,00 for one night per person. A 10 night package is available. Detailed info can be asked directly at the Residence reception.
Private Accommodation
If the student chooses to live in a private house, it might be helpful to know that an agreement has been in place since 2005 in Urbino for stipulating letting contracts with agreed rental (Law 431/98). This type of contract, apart from easy terms for tenants, also offers considerable advantages for owners and a specific set of regulations for contracts aimed at university students with the possibility of letting the buildings also by reference to prices per bed.
