- Start Cup Marche 2014 Dr. Luca Casettari and his colleagues from University of Camerino have been awarded with the 3rd prize (10.000 euro) in the business plan competition Start Cup Marche 2014, with the project "Pharma, Food and Cosmetics" [PFC]. - Robert G. Edwards Prize Paper Award E’ stato recentemente attribuito il “Robert G. Edwards Prize Paper Award” ovvero un premio conferito al miglior lavoro pubblicato da “RBM online” nel 2013. Il premio consiste in 1000 euro (che saranno attribuiti all’autore più giovane). Questo il lavoro premiato: Palini, S.; Galluzzi, L.; De Stefani, S.; Bianchi, M.; Wells, D.; Magnani, M.; Bulletti, C. - European Braconnot PrizeDr. Luca Casettari received the 2013 Braconnot Prize from the European Chitin Society (Euchis), which award a young European researcher, every two years,for its research activities and related scientific publications on the application of the polysaccharide chitosan. Dr. Casettari (working in the field of pharmaceutical technology) was invited to present its contributions to a conference held in Portugal and received a cash prize of 1000 Euros. (for more information: link1 - link2 - link3) Il Dr. Luca Casettari ha ricevuto il Braconnot Prize 2013 assegnato ogni due anni dall’European Chitin Society (Euchis) ad un giovane ricercatore europeo per la sua attività di ricerca e relative pubblicazioni riguardanti l’applicazioni del polisaccaride chitosano. Il Dr. Casettari, che lavora nel settore tecnologico farmaceutico, è stato invitato a presentare i suoi contributi ad un convegno tenutosi in Portogallo ed ha ricevuto una somma in denaro pari a 1000 euro. - IUBMB Life’s 2013 Wiley Young Investigator AwardDr. Catia Azzolini received the “IUBMB Life’s 2013 Wiley Young Investigator Award” for her article “Sodium-dependent transport of ascorbic acid in U937 cell mitochondria", published in IUBMB Life (vol 65, 149-153, 2013). The Award of $2000 is funded by the publisher Wiley-Blackwell. - Oscar Marchigiano 2013Mirco Fanelli received the "Oscar Marchigiano 2013" for the Scientific Research in the field of drug discovery in cancer "....to have developed and patented a new class of molecules with antineoplastic activity". Moreover, He received an additional Award as "Marchigiano of the Year 2013" for the advanced research that the group of research headed by Dott. Fanelli is carrying out in the territory of Marche Region. Inoltre, egli ha ricevuto il premio "Marchigiano dell'Anno 2013" per la ricerca avanzata che il gruppo di ricerca da lui coordinato svolge nel territorio della Regione Marche.
