Learning Objectives

The course in the three years includes a series of biological materials suitable to obtain a concrete framework of the techniques and methods applied to the morphological analysis of different human body systems. In this sense, after a first  cytological framework (first part of the form "Cytoistology and Cytometry"), in order to frame the "sample" for the morphological instrumental analysis, this module addresses issues related to the different tissues of the body to frame her second level of organization. The course has a section devoted to the laboratory of Histology in order to give the students the tools for a careful morphological analysis prepared for light microscopy. The argument is strategic for the correct preparation for automated cell analysis, static and dynamic that will be treated in masterful. The last part of microscopic anatomy, as the third level of the human body's structural organization, gives a simple introduction to the next chapter done in "Human Anatomy", introducing the next level of cellular organization as a framework to organ level.

Learning Achievements (Dublin Descriptors)

The student must show mastery of basic knowledge about the techniques for the for morphological analysis of Histologic and microscopic anatomy preparations analysis.

The student will demonstrate an understanding of the different degrees of human body organization both at the level of tissues and microscopic anatomical organization identifying the strengths of this analysis and the critical issues relating to the sample preparation process.

The student will finally show the possession of the ability to use the concepts and knowledge acquired proving to reason according to the specific logic of the discipline. In the practical part he will have to prove to be able to identify the specimen.
