Program

This course is designed to help students improve their communication skills, with particular attention to listening, through the use of videos and discussions based on topics taken from the book (Total Business 1) and the business world. We will learn commercial expressions and vocabulary and review grammatical structures.

First year students (B1) do NOT have to purchase a book for the listening test. The material for this exam will be provided in the classroom and on Blended Learning.

Attending class is optional, but it is important to improve your English skills. Active language skills such as listening and speaking require constant practice and exposure.

The exam simulations that address the specific topics of the final exam will be held at the end of each semester and from these you can see exactly how the final exam is carried out.

There is also self-study material at the Centro Linguistico Ateneo on Via Budassi. An identity card and B1 listening materials can be obtained from the secretary for the listening lab.

As for the exams, we will cover all the topics of the book, which will also be used as a basis for the final listening exam and the oral exam.

Teaching Material

The teaching material prepared by the language assistant in addition to recommended textbooks (such as for instance slides, lecture notes, exercises, bibliography) and communications from the language assistant specific to the course can be found inside the Moodle platform › blended.uniurb.it
