Learning Objectives
The objective of the course is to provide basic knowledge on the grammatical structures of italian language, the textuality, the textual types and genres. Its main purpose is to supply students with the necessary analytical tools for a correct use of the italian language in the text comprehension and writing-editing process and in the didactics of this subject matter.
Program
This course was designed as an introduction to the study of italian linguistics and will be focused on the principles of this discipline. The first part of the course will be dedicated to general topics (such as the features of italian language, standard italian and varieties of contemporary italian) and to the basic elements of italian grammar. The second part of the course will be dedicated to the textual dimension of the language, the in-depth analysis of the characteristics of the text, the types of text and the specialized languages in order to provide essential didactic tools for the teaching of this discipline.

Written exam, consisting of a questionnaire with multiple choice and open questions. Evaluation criteria: level of formal correctness; relevance and effectiveness of the answers in relation to the contents of the program; adequacy of the disciplinary language used.
