Learning Objectives

The course aims at the effective didactic transposition of the contents of history, in particular the contemporary one, for the purposes of teaching.

Program

The course will focus on the following issues:

Definition of history as an object of teaching;

Making history: traditions and paradigms;

History as an essential element in the education of the nation and of the citizen;

Online resources for the teaching of history;

Build a model of educational laboratory;

Communicating history: public history;

Learning Achievements (Dublin Descriptors)

Knowledge and understanding skills. At the end of the course the student will have to demonstrate to understand themes and problems related to the teaching of history and its purposes.

Applying knowledge and understanding. The student must acquire the ability to apply their knowledge and their ability to understand the effective transposition of teaching content according to the requirements of professionalism. 

Autonomy of judgment. The student must demonstrate not only to possess knowledge related to the didactics of history, but also to know how to expose them with properties of language, reflecting around them in an autonomous way and formulating interpretative hypotheses on the effectiveness of educational choices and orientations.

Communicative ability. The student must be able to clearly express the contents of the course and demonstrate argumentative competence on themes and problems characteristic of the teaching of history. 

Ability to learn. At the end of the course the student will have acquired a good autonomy in the reading of study materials and teaching materials related to the course, combined with the ability to use them for teaching purposes.

The teaching material prepared by the lecturer in addition to recommended textbooks (such as for instance slides, lecture notes, exercises, bibliography) and communications from the lecturer specific to the course can be found inside the Moodle platform › blended.uniurb.it

The course in mainly organized in frontal classes. The teacher will provide the presentations used for lectures using Blended platform.

Assessment

Written test.

The written test consists of six open questions with a value of five points each. 

The written test is considered passed with a total score of at least 18/30. 

The evaluation criteria are as follows: relevance of the answers; ability to argue; adequacy of the disciplinary language used; ability to apply the acquired knowledges to a critical interpretation of contemporaneity.

Le studentesse e gli studenti che hanno registrato la certificazione di disabilità o la certificazione di DSA presso l'Ufficio Inclusione e diritto allo studio, possono chiedere di utilizzare le mappe concettuali (per parole chiave) durante la prova di esame.
