Learning Objectives

To provide advanced linguistic-cultural skills (oral and written, level C1 QCER) in the context of mass-media Spanish Language. To develop skills in analysing study materials and in developing critical judgements. To support specialized training in aid of professional figures related to international business management and business communica­tion.

Program

1. Pragmatics and Sintax: previous issues.

2. Syn­tactic dislocations and marked orders.

3. Focusing and Topicalization.

4. Split constructions.

5. Prag­malinguistic Analysis of journalistic texts.

 

Bridging Courses

Prerequisites: Spanish language skills of B2 level.

 

Learning Achievements (Dublin Descriptors)

Knowledge and understanding of contents and characteristic problems of the discipline, also identi­fying possible continuities with previous knowledge.
Applying knowledge and understanding according to the professional and work areas of international profile related to business and management of communication.
Making judgements encouraging learners to be autonomous in their choices and study’s organiza­tion, in the formulation of hypotheses and in prob­lem-solving, in the elaboration of critical arguments and independent judgements.
Communication skills in clearly transmitting knowledge, ideas, problems and solutions to non-expert interlocutors, with the use of an adequate linguistic register.
Learning skills improving previous study skills in­dependently, with adequate critical maturity.

 

Teaching Material

The teaching material prepared by the lecturer in addition to recommended textbooks (such as for instance slides, lecture notes, exercises, bibliography) and communications from the lecturer specific to the course can be found inside the Moodle platform › blended.uniurb.it

Supporting Activities

Teaching, Attendance, Course Books and Assessment

Teaching

Course held in Spanish, with lectures, seminars and laboratory activities of reading and analysis of texts and documents, according to the modalities indi­cated on the Moodle platform › blended.uniurb.it

Attendance

Attendance at lessons, ongoing participation in seminar and laboratory activities, with the delivery, before the final verification, of the analysis sheets or short papers required. Individual study of the material that will be progressively included on the Moodle platform.

Recommended texts and materials will be indicated on the Moodle platform › blended.uniurb.it

Assessment

There will be a final oral test, in Spanish, to assess the knowledge of key topics (30% final grade) of the programme and the analytical skills (30%) about the materials selected during the course.
Participation (30%) in the proposed activities will be assessed, through the delivery of short analyses or written essays, as well as, at the time of the final oral test, adequate expressive mastery (10%) con­cerning the specific terminology of the subject.

Disabilità e DSA
