Ability to apply knowledge and understanding: thanks to the teaching activities carried out during the course, students will be able to apply the knowledge they have learnt and the understanding they have acquired and will be able to manage communication in clear and appropriate language in order to convey and explain content both in written and oral form.

Autonomy of judgement: at the end of the course, students will have to demonstrate that they have developed critical skills enabling them to analyse authentic documents relating to the content learned, to explain the concepts that have emerged and to express their own point of view.

Communicative skills: by the end of the course, students are expected to have acquired the communicative skills prescribed by the CEFR for level B2, i.e. to be able to understand detailed information in written texts and oral speeches relating to concrete or abstract topics and to express themselves clearly in the areas defined in the content.

Learning ability: at the end of the course, students will be able to develop their own study method in order to understand the content covered during the course and assess their level of learning in relation to the objectives set for level B2.

Teaching, Attendance, Course Books and Assessment

Teaching

Classroom lectures on all course topics. Lessons will be enriched by exercises, written and oral tests, exposés. All lessons will be held in French. It will be the teacher's particular care to encourage the productive intervention of the students both by asking for clarifications and by expressing personal solutions/opinions. This intervention must be aimed at encouraging an active reception of the course content. All this will allow a considered acquisition of the contents themselves.

Innovative teaching methods

The face-to-face teaching method will be enriched with individual and group exercises and in-depth studies, which students will carry out using the University's Moodle platform.

Some topics of the course will be treated following the practice of the ‘classe inversée’ (inverted lesson).

This course is taught entirely in French and requires the active participation of students.
