Learning Objectives
Achieve an intermediate level of the Chinese language C1, that is, acquire independent efficiency in the use of the language:
- B2 Understands the main ideas of complex texts on both concrete and abstract topics, including technical discussions about his or her field of specialization. Is able to interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity that makes natural interaction with native speakers effortless for the speaker possible. Can produce clear, detailed text on a wide range of topics and explain a point of view on a topic giving the pros and cons of various options.
- C1 Understands a wide range of complex and lengthy texts and can recognize their implied meaning. Expresses himself/herself fluently and naturally. Uses language flexibly and effectively for social, professional and academic purposes. Can produce clear, well-constructed, detailed texts on complex topics, showing confident control of text structure, connectors and cohesive elements.
Program
“中国工作文化” will be the title of our course this year.
The course will focus on learning Chinese vocabulary and acquiring the linguistic-practical competence to cover topics on contemporary China.
Through the following topics:
- Concept of culture and the Chinese language;
- Cultural mediation;
- Chinese culture of working overtime - 加班;
- Mianzi and Guangxi culture in China;
students will be able to develop the ability to interact in Chinese, understand complex texts, argue and perform technical discussions on contemporary China, especially, in the economic, social and business fields.

The teaching material prepared by the language assistant in addition to recommended textbooks (such as for instance slides, lecture notes, exercises, bibliography) and communications from the language assistant specific to the course can be found inside the Moodle platform › blended.uniurb.it
