Learning Objectives

Level A2 involves the acquisition of basic language skills that enable the candidate to meet his or her essential needs in a limited number of situations in the social and socio-cultural spheres of everyday life. Comprehension and use of frequent expressions related to areas of immediate relevance (information about self, family, friends; school and work; health; shopping; answering the phone; in the mail; on transportation; in administrative offices; weather; leisure; local geography, etc.). Ability to express intentions, wishes, requests, complaints, advice, rejection, proposals, invitations, agreement or disagreement, permission or prohibition, promises, judgments and evaluations.

Program

This course will be devoted to listening with the aim of developing skills essential for participating in various formats of business communication such as telephone conversations, negotiations, discussions, presentations and others. It aims to enrich sectorial vocabulary as well as consolidate the use of grammatical constructs typical of the A2 level by paying attention to the social aspect of language use
