Learning Objectives
Themes
This school provides knowledge and skills on the uses of erasing. In any field, in order to write, communicate or design, one must first of all erase: remove the more, cover and overcome what is already there. Even thought, in order to express itself, must pave a way not into the void, but into the overflow that prevents it from seeing and remembering.
The school revolves around the figure of Emilio Isgrò, artist, writer and playwright, undisputed master of erasure. Under his guidance, luminaries and leading practitioners in various fields - semiotics, philosophy, sociology, literature, design, law, economics, architecture, archaeology, philology, journalism, theology, media studies - will explore the workings of erasure, the interpersonal and cultural ways, good and bad, of adding by removing.
Discarding, opacification, cancel culture, censorship, secrecy, iconoclasm, oblivion, camouflage, subliminal persuasion are activities that fall within the domain of erasure and that the school will examine in order to bring out the value of things and the importance of caring for them.

Objectives
The school is aimed at students, recent graduates, artists, and workers who wish to have a clearer, more stratified and in-depth vision of the phenomena and improve their thinking, communication, design and production skills, saving themselves from standardising thinking and the uniformity of languages.
The course, due to the transversality of the theme investigated, is usable in all disciplines and professions: from the arts to journalism, from literature to architecture and town planning, from IT to economics, from philosophy to law... Those enrolled will be able to constantly confront themselves with Emilio Isgrò and prestigious personalities from these fields in theoretical reflections, workshops and evening presentations to the public.
Learning the art of erasure and erasure as art will mean acquiring a theory, method and practice useful for an ecology of the mind.
