The project of Wittgenstein's Tractatus concerns the knowledge of reality. However, reality is restricted to her logical use. Indeed, language, wich contains logic, is the limit of human thought. So what we know through the use of language is not the showing, but only the said.
Therefore, the our approach on the philosophy of science concerns the knowledge of language.
What 's the language? The language is not only Englisch,Italian, etc., but it also the digits sen 1 = 0 or the proposition of logic [(p imp q) and p] imp q.
Wittgentein introduces comparison between a proposition and a picture: "2.11 A picture represents a situation in logical space, the existence and non-existence of states of affairs". Since, a picture 2 + 2 = 4 represents a situation in logical space. Because a picture = + 2 2 not represents. Wittgenstein says:
2.14 What constitutes a picture is that its elements are related to one another in a determinate way.
However, the language cannot show reality, but only shows its projective relation to the reality. Wittgenstein:"3.13 A proposition includes all that the projection includes, but not what is projected"
Because, what can be shown, cannot be said.
Therefore, the philosophy of science differs from science in language. The science is made of individual practices (experiments) but then is made of collective language ; again, the philosophy is essentialy language (theories).
Then, our approach on philosphy of science concerne the science of logic; since it's philosophy of logic.
