Sports Biomechanics
Learning Achievements (Dublin Descriptors)
Knowledge and Understanding:
Understanding of the parameters influencing the mechanics of locomotion on a bicycle.
Applied Knowledge and Understanding:
Students will apply acquired knowledge in the biomechanical analysis of cycling sports gestures.
Autonomy of Judgment:
In the process of knowledge formation, students are tasked with making choices and organizing the preparation phases for the planned tests.
Communication Skills:
During the course, students will formulate hypotheses for evaluation modules for various phases of specific sports gestures.
Learning Skills:
Through the aforementioned components, students are expected to demonstrate their independently developed acquisition and connection capabilities, as well as the ability to retrieve scientific literature on the subject.
Teaching Material
The teaching material prepared by the lecturer in addition to recommended textbooks (such as for instance slides, lecture notes, exercises, bibliography) and communications from the lecturer specific to the course can be found inside the Moodle platform › blended.uniurb.it
Teaching, Attendance, Course Books and Assessment
- Teaching
Traditional frontal lectures and practical laboratory activities.
- Innovative teaching methods
The course employs several innovative teaching practices, including in-class debates, problem-based learning, learning by doing, and flipped classroom methodology.
- Attendance
The minimum attendance requirement complies with the internship course regulations of the degree program. Regarding practical exercise activities, attendance is defined as active participation in the lesson.
- Assessment
Not specified
- Disability and Specific Learning Disorders (SLD)
Students who have registered their disability certification or SLD certification with the Inclusion and Right to Study Office can request to use conceptual maps (for keywords) during exams.
To this end, it is necessary to send the maps, two weeks before the exam date, to the course instructor, who will verify their compliance with the university guidelines and may request modifications.
