Erasmus+ is the European Union Program for Education, Training, Youth, and Sport 2021-2027. The Program combines and integrates all the funding mechanisms implemented by the European Union:
- Individual mobility programs for learning purposes;
- Partnerships (for Cooperation, Excellence, Innovation) and Alliances (for Innovation);
- Capacity Building (in the field of Education and Vocational Training, Youth, and Sport);
- Support for Policy Development and Cooperation (European Youth Together);
- Jean Monnet Actions (Higher Education, Teaching and Research, Political Debate).
The Program is focused on three Key Actions:
- Key Action 1: Individual Mobility for Learning Purposes
- Key Action 2: Cooperation between Organizations and Institutions
- Key Action 3: Support for Policy Development and Cooperation
Within Key Action 1, the following activities are foreseen:
- Mobility for Study and Mobility for Traineeship;
- Mobility for Teachers and Administrative Staff.
The Program is managed in Italy by the Erasmus+ National Agency INDIRE (https://erasmusplus.it/).
The University of Urbino Carlo Bo publishes annual calls for applications for the allocation of Erasmus+ mobility grants within Key Action 1: Individual Mobility for Learning Purposes.

Erasmus Policy Statement
The Erasmus Charter for Higher Education is the document that defines the general quality framework in which the European and international cooperation activities that a Higher Education Institution can carry out within the Erasmus+ Program are framed. Its approval by the European Commission is a prerequisite for participation in the Program.
