Themes
The goal of the Summer School is to acquire advanced tools for the archaeological study of the Middle Ages (architecture, stratifications, landscape) and communication tools suitable for the dissemination of cultural heritage.

Objectives
Companies, cooperatives and other groups working with cultural heritage protection agencies in the field of checking archaeological potential, assisting archaeological excavations and in the public enjoyment of cultural property.
Institutions in charge of the preservation and enhancement of archaeological heritage, such as superintendencies and museums; study and research bodies and units for the preservation of archaeological, artistic, documentary and monumental heritage at public and private bodies and institutions such as municipalities, provinces, regions, foundations.
Public relations officers, copywriters, art directors, media management and planning experts, journalists, event planners, publicists, editors, editorial managers, script writers, social media managers, content editors, etc.

Activities of PhD Students
The course consists of face-to-face lectures and alternative teaching, conducted in the field, at the municipal area of Borgo Pace (province of Pesaro and Urbino) and other places in the historical regions of Massa Trabaria / Montefeltro. in northern Marche.
The teaching structure pertains to the following disciplinary scientific fields:
L'-ANT 08 (Christian and medieval archaeology);
SPS08 (sociology of cultural and communicative processes).

Professional opportunities
The Summer School teaching activities will take place exclusively in the morning. The afternoon will not be included in the didactic activities of the Summer and may be devoted to individual study.
The frontal didactic activity will be carried out at an equipped facility provided by the Municipal Administration of Borgo Pace (PU).
The alternative didactic activity will be carried out through excursions directly in the territory of Borgo Pace and other places in the historical regions of Massa Tabaria and Montefeltro.

It will be a priority, but not an impediment, for admission to the course to have taken courses in "Medieval Archaeology I or II" or "Communication Strategies and Enhancement of Cultural Heritage" provided by this University or to be an undergraduate (graduate) student in the above disciplines.
