Urbino University’s Lifelong Learning programmes are also designed for people from the working world or who are at least launched on a professional career.

Classes of most courses are held during the weekends. This teaching formula is devised to allow also workers to attend. Most such courses are also open to unemployed persons.

Most courses are conducted in Italian.

All the courses foresee the issuing of university credits (ECTS). Also, on completion of the Lifelong Learning Programme courses, a certificate is issued.

High Management Training for Complex Managers in Digital Healthcare 
High Level Training

The course is aimed at level one managerial training required to work as directors in a healthcare structure. It provides tools and techniques for the managerial process mainly referring to the organisation and management of health services, quality indicators of services connected with public health service human resource management and funding criteria and budget and control. The course, carried out in collaboration between the Law Department (DiGiur), the Department of Economics, Society and Politics (DESP) and the Department of Communication Science and Humanistic Studies (Discum), has been set up based on the Convention agreed on 23 July 2014 between the Marche Region and the University of the Marche, the University of Camerino, the University of Macerata and the University of Urbino Carlo Bo, to create a managerial training school as per articles 15, 16-quinquies, of the Leg. Decree no. 502/1992, and article 7 of the Pres. Decree no. 484/1997 and in accordance with the State-Regions agreement from 10 July 2003. This convention foresees the setting up of a level two Masters, in addition to the course, for level three managerial training for director generals (for this purpose, the University of Urbino Carlo Bo has set up the Masters in "Management of healthcare organisations in the digital era”) and a level two managerial training course for health directors, administration managers and healthcare professionals (for this purpose, the University of Urbino Carlo Bo has set up the “Post-graduate course in managerial training for healthcare management, administration management and healthcare professionals in the digital era”).

High Level Training

The course aims to train healthcare managers required to fill roles as healthcare directors, administration managers and executive managers of healthcare professions. It provides the tools and techniques for the managerial process, mainly referring to the organisation and management of healthcare services, quality indicators in services connected with public healthcare, management of human resources and funding criteria and elements of budget and control. The course corresponds to 24 ECTS and includes 214 hours of classroom lessons. The Region then issues a level two managerial training certificate for healthcare directors, administration managers and executives of the healthcare professions.

Training course for prevention and protection managers and prevention and protection service workers (Module A)

As seen in Annex A1 of the cited agreement dated 26 January 2006, the Goals of Module A are as follows: 1. Acquisition of knowledge regarding general and specific legislation on hygiene and safety in the workplace, criteria and tools for the search for laws and technical regulations regarding specific problems. 2. Acquisition of knowledge on various subjects in the company prevention system, their tasks, responsibilities and the functions carried out by various bodies in charge of safeguarding workers’ health. 3. Acquisition of knowledge, in particular for legislation regarding risks and damage from work, prevention measures for eliminating or reducing them, methodological criteria for risk assessment, risk assessment document content, emergency management. 4. Acquisition of elements of knowledge regarding modes with which a company Prevention system can be organised and managed.

Training Course for prevention and protection managers and prevention and protection service workers (Module C)

The training course is connected to Italian legislation on the need for those intending to act as Prevention and Protection Service Managers and workers in workplaces must have suitable skills by means of attending specific training courses split into several modules (art. 32, par. 2, of the leg. decree no. 81/2008; art. 8-bis of the leg. decree no. 626/1994; State-Regions agreement dated 26 January 2006). The training paths are arranged into three modules: A, B and C. MODULE A) comprises the basic course, for working as Prevention and Protection Service Managers and Workers (RSPP and ASPP respectively). The module lasts for 28 hours The training contents: a) are compliant with the Min. Decree 16 January 1997 by the Ministry of Employment (published in the Official Gazette on 3 February 1997, no. 27), containing the minimum content of training for employers, safety representatives and workers, who can directly carry out the tasks of the prevention and protection service; b) integrate the ones in the Min. Decree 16 January 1997, referred to in letter a). MODULE B) specialisation, this is the course for the nature of risks in the workplace and regarding working activities. It can last for 12-68 hours, depending on the relevant macro-sector. Like Module A, module B is common for both RSPP and ASPP. MODULE C) specialisation, for RSPP only. This is the risk prevention and protection course, including ergonomics and psycho-social elements, the organisation and management of technical-administrative activities and communication in the company and trade union relations, as implementation of article 8-bis, par. 4, of Leg. Decree no. 626/1994. It lasts for 24 hours and is compulsory for RSPP only . In consideration of the experimental nature of the course, only Modules A and C will be held in the academic year 2015/16. Module B may be held in the future, also considering the current review process that the 26 January 2006 agreement is undergoing.

The aims of the two-year post-grad course in Religious Science are: 1. Training of highly qualified Catholic Religion teachers for Italian schools, 2. promotion of the church and inter-religion dialogue based on a thorough knowledge of religions, 3. Scientific research in the field of religious (historical-religious, legal-religious, socio-religious) and theological matters.
