Learning Objectives

Promote historical knowledge of human rights issues in their evolution, spread pieces of information that can help to situate the role of rights in the contemporary world, in a global society.

Program

Reconstruction of the history of philosophical reflections and legal rights, through texts ranging from the ancient world to contemporary: Aristotle, Gaius, Magna Carta, Ockham, Vitoria, Vindiciae contra Tyrannos, Grotius, Putney Debates, Hobbes, Locke, Beccaria, Sieyès, Paine, Wollstonecraft, Kant, Hegel, Mill, Bentham, Maistre, Gregory XVI, Marx, Hayek, Kelsen, Maritain, Bobbio, Dworkin, Ferrajoli.

The battle for human rights through its protagonists

Basic knowledge of the historical periods and the thought systems of reference. Ability to find and use the data historically relevant and what they mean.

Disability and Specific Learning Disorders (SLD)

Students who have registered their disability certification or SLD certification with the Inclusion and Right to Study Office can request to use conceptual maps (for keywords) during exams.

To this end, it is necessary to send the maps, two weeks before the exam date, to the course instructor, who will verify their compliance with the university guidelines and may request modifications.
