Learning Objectives

The course aims to provide students with knowledge of the basic concepts of information technology (both hardware and software - theory) and the capability of computer use in the most popular spreadsheet and database (the application) environments economic and business

Program

The course is divided into the following three modules that will be performed in the order described:
A) THEORY. This module explains the fundamental concepts related to information technology, transferring the basic knowledge about the information coding, the structure and operation of a personal computer, software, operating systems, computer networks, systems business information and how these technologies impact society and the life of every day.
B) EXCEL - USE OF SPREADSHEET. The module is embodied in learning the basics of the spreadsheet Excel and the ability to apply this tool in the solution of the most common business issues: creating and formatting a spreadsheet, using mathematical functions, statistical, logical and research, the date and time functions, financial functions, importing objects in the spreadsheet, the management of multiple sheets and multiple folders, the data in the graph, data analysis and use of data commands, subtotals and Pivot tables.
C) ACCESS - USE DATABASE. The module aims to provide the tools to create and manage database applications: use and functionality of the database, and create database design, creation, modification and management of tables and masks, import and export data, queries, and simple and complex queries, creating, change management and reporting and records simple and complex automation applications.

For ONLY FORM A) THEORY, alternatively traditional exam, students can take (or proven to pass through display of skill card at registration examination): ALL and 3 of the TEST OLD ECDL CORE on 3 ECDL modules: Module 1 (Theory) + Module 2 (Windows and file management) + Module 7 (the Internet and computer networks) or the TEST NEW STANDARD ECDL modules M1 (Basic Concepts of computer) and M2 (Basic Concepts network)

Assessment

The exam consists of three tests:
1. Theory: test with multiple choice questions and / or oral examination (chosen by the teacher in each appeal)
2. Excel 2007: application test in the laboratory
3. Access 2007: application test in the laboratory

The 3 exams MUST be incurred ALL THE SAME APPEAL: NOT 'POSSIBLE TO SUPPORT OR PARTIAL EXAM ONLY FORM 1. In the examination (3 tests) the failure to pass even the first 3 test involves the overcoming of NOT 'COMPREHENSIVE examination and the obligation to retake all 3 tests.

Registration examination is automatic ON BOOK ON LINE with the correction and overcoming the 3 tests. Verbalization booklet on paper must ', however, take place after the next scheduled exam, not the student has the' obligation to register in the list of examination.

Notice is hereby given that, as for all other exams, the exam registration lists are solely "on line" and are closed at 24 for two days before the exam date. Since the application tests require time for their correction and evaluation, you can not vote in the minutes of the day on which the exam is taken (except in exceptional cases). The results and the relevant minutes (in the case of passing the exam) will be announced on the book online to students no later than the following week.

Students who already have the European Licence (ECDL OLD), in order to achieve the examination, however, will have to support the following two tests: Excel 2007 application test + Access 2007 with application test.

Students who already have the European Licence (ECDL NEW STANDARD or BASIC), in order to achieve the examination, however, will have to support the following two tests: Excel 2007 with application test + Access 2007 with application test.

So how will incur only 2 trials Excel + Access students in place of Module A) THEORY choose to support the 2 modules superseding NEW ECDL.

Anyone wishing to make use of the possession of the ECDL to the theory module, must 'take the exam for the sustenance of the remaining two modules exhibiting ECDL or exhibiting their skill card stamped and signed in original (released from their ECDL Test Center) indicating:

a) for OLD ECDL CORE ECDL TEST the passing of the three modules: Module 1 (Theory) + Module 2 (Windows and file management) + Module 7 (the Internet and computer networks)

b) for the ECDL NEW STANDARD the passing of ECDL Test on 2 modules: M1 (Basic Concepts of computer) and M2 (Basic concepts of network)

Disability and Specific Learning Disorders (SLD)
