Learning Objectives

The course will offer an introduction to the main topics in philosophy of religion.

Program

1) Philosophy of religion: method, content, aims.

2) Tha nature of religion.

3) Religious belief and rationality.

4) The existence and nature of God.

5) The problem of evil e and the meaning of human life.

6) Religious diversity.

Learning Achievements (Dublin Descriptors)

Knowledge of the religious phenomenon in general and in its main historical forms; ability to deal with the religious problem with instruments of rational analysis; ability to analyze the problems posed by religious pluralism.

Teaching Material

The teaching material prepared by the lecturer in addition to recommended textbooks (such as for instance slides, lecture notes, exercises, bibliography) and communications from the lecturer specific to the course can be found inside the Moodle platform › blended.uniurb.it

Oral examination.

Disability and Specific Learning Disorders (SLD)

Students who have registered their disability certification or SLD certification with the Inclusion and Right to Study Office can request to use conceptual maps (for keywords) during exams.

To this end, it is necessary to send the maps, two weeks before the exam date, to the course instructor, who will verify their compliance with the university guidelines and may request modifications.
