Learning Objectives
The aim of this course is to study the how the economy works. GDP, Consumption investment, public debt, unemployment, productivity, exchange rate and interest rate are all topics developed during the course. Then, both economic growth and recession are two main areas of the analysis.

After completing the course, students must have adequate general knowledge about the fundamental issues of macroeconomics, knowing apply with independent judgment the knowledge acquired and to understand problems related to the macroeconomic contexts. They must also be able to communicate individual ideas and them emerged in working groups.

- Assessment
Written and optional oral examination. The written exam consists of three theoretical questions and two exercises. The time available to the student is one hour.
Theoretical questions, and oral exam, are designed to ascertain the level of competence the student has achieved, in the ability to co-ordinate knowledge and skills, to deal with complex situations or new problems in the context of macroeconomic analysis. The exercises are designed to ascertain the student's ability in the practical application of theoretical knowledge, within the macroeconomic models studied during the course.
