Learning Objectives
Acquisition of knowledge and skills suited to the teaching.
Ability: Disciplinary language specific knowledge: to read and to interpret different maps having clear the concepts of symbolism, scale and their educational application; Landscape: interpret the characteristics of the landscape, in relation to its evolution over time, too.
Skills: Orient yourself in space and on maps; use different types of maps; recognize landscapes; assess the effects of human actions on territorial systems.
Program
Combining theory and practice and applying the geographical method, the laboratory intends to teach to students to "read" their life context and to acquire an interpretative model applicable to any landscape context.
We intend to use a teaching logic that has affinity with practical knowledge to relate the school world to the real world.
Each lesson includes an introductory part about the topic and verification of the prerequisites; a central phase about activities development and a concluding phase about reflection on the work just concluded.
At the end of the activities, a bibliography is given about the studied topics to allow for further study.
Activities related to: landscape; language of geography.
