Learning Objectives
The objective is transmitting Nietzsche's philosophical tenets, promoting the students' comparative abilities, and highliting the meaning of the philosopher's theories for our times as well.
Program
Some passages from Nietzsche's Thus Spoke Zarathustra will be read and commentated on by the teacher, and be related to another facets of Nietzsche's thought as well. The influence of other philosophers - above all, Schopenhauer's - on Nietzsche's thought will be highlighted, as well as the relationships of this thought with German Idealism, the Indian thought (Buddhism and Brhamanism), and the Chinese thought (Taoism).
