Learning Objectives

The course aims to provide an in-depth knowledge of the dynamic processes involved in group relationships. Theoretical models concerning group characteristics will be explored, from psychosocial and psychodynamic. Particular attention will be paid to the methods of intervention that make the group a powerful tool for change.

With regard to the course “Psychological intervention on groups” students must show to possess:

  • Knowledge and understanding:

    Student must have understood the principles underlying the theory in clinical dynamics and psychological intervention on groups

    Applying knowledge and understanding:

    Students must demonstrate the ability to select and apply Psychological intervention group and he must have understood the principles in the dynamic-clinical field and the psychological intervention on groups

    Making judgements: 

    Students must have acquired the ability to interpret, understand and reason on group dynamics, on therapeutic techniques, the therapeutic factors of psychological intervention on groups

    Communication skills:

    Students must demonstrate the ability to use knowledge and methodological concepts for the description of cases and the ability to formulate hypotheses about cases

  • Learning skills: must have acquired the specific technical language for the description of the discipline

Assessment

Assessment method: Written test with 7 open questions. The duration of the test will be 60 minutes. In the event of an exam session on the Zoom platform, the method will be communicated on the page of the course in question. The written test is aimed at evaluating the knowledge acquired, mastery of the concepts also in the use of specific language and the ability to reason and integrate. the evaluation will focus on the knowledge, skills and abilities demonstrated by the student, taking into account in particular the following indicators: 1. relevance and effectiveness of responses; 2. level of articulation of the answers: clarity, logicality, systematicity, completeness; 3. use of discipline-specific vocabulary; The final evaluation is expressed in thirtieths. The evaluation criteria and relative scores out of thirty are determined according to the following scale: less than 18: sufficient level of competence. The candidate does not achieve any of the learning outcomes foreseen in the point "knowledge and understanding"

18-20: sufficient level of competence. The candidate achieves the learning outcomes foreseen in the point "knowledge and understanding".

21-23: fully sufficient level of competence. The candidate achieves the learning outcomes foreseen in the points "knowledge and understanding" and "applied knowledge and understanding".

24-26: good level of competence. The candidate achieves the learning outcomes set out in the "knowledge and understanding" points; "applied knowledge and understanding" and "independence of judgement".

27-29: very good level of competence. The candidate achieves the learning outcomes set out in the points "knowledge and understanding", "applied knowledge and understanding", "independence of judgement" and "communication skills".

30/30 cum laude: excellent level of competence. The candidate fully achieves the learning outcomes set out in the "knowledge and understanding" points; "applied knowledge and understanding"; "independence of judgement"; "communication skills" and "ability to learn". NB:  Due to the pandemic there may be changes to the methods of carrying out the test which changes from written to oral. In this case, students are asked to refer to the Uniurb Blended platform and what is decided from time to time depending on the provisions.
