Learning Objectives
The course aims at achieving the linguistic and communication skills required by the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) for level B1.
- Understand central aspects in medium-high complexity texts, and on both concrete and abstract topics in Spanish (Knowledge and understanding);
- Interaction on both concrete and abstract topics in Spanish language, which encourages the student to conceive and fully argue their personal point of view in this regard, using the main morphosyntactic structures of the Spanish language, and demonstrating that they know how to choose, among others, the most appropriate linguistic register for the situational response (Ability to apply knowledge and understanding);
- Development and consolidation of skills useful for dealing, independently, with the subsequent in-depth analysis of the topics learned during the course (Autonomy of judgement);
- Development and strengthening of written and oral communication skills in Spanish (Communication skills)
- Ability to learning and applying them (Ability to learning).
Program
Main topic: Spanish Morphosyntax
1st part: Noun, adjective, articles, adverbs, demonstrative adjectives and pronouns, possessive (tonic and unstressed forms), indefinite and relative pronouns, numerals, subject and complement (stressed and unstressed forms) personal pronouns, prepositions, conjunctions, regular and irregular verbs.
2nd part: Simple sentence
Learning Achievements (Dublin Descriptors)
- Knowledge and understanding: Understanding of the central aspects in medium-high complexity texts, and on both concrete and abstract topics in Spanish.
Applying knowledge and understanding: interaction on both concrete and abstract topics in Spanish encouraging students to conceive and fully argue their personal point of view by using main morphosyntactic structures of the Spanish language, and the most appropriate linguistic register for the situational context.
Making judgments: development and consolidation of skills useful for dealing with the subsequent in-depth analysis of the topics learned during the course.
Communication skills: development and strengthening of written and oral communication skills in Spanish language through guided and autonomous activities.
