- Evaluation of the training effect through clinical statistics.
- Internal load assessment using subjective methods (psychometric scales) and objective subjective methods (heart rate variability).
- Data analysis for training control and regulation.
- Field and laboratory tests for the evaluation of conditional abilities.
- External load assessment using latest generation devices.
- Practice of training prescription.
Learning Achievements (Dublin Descriptors)
Applying Knowledge and Understanding: The student must demonstrate the ability to interpret and apply their knowledge and understanding of the specific sports reality they intend to train.
Making Judgements: By the end of the course, the student must demonstrate having developed sufficient critical judgment to assess the adequacy and effectiveness of assessment and training methods in relation to established goals.
Communication Skills: The student must demonstrate the ability to create a positive and empathetic relationship with athletes and staff in the competitive context of interest in order to improve performance in competition and training.
Learning Skills: Upon completion of the course, students will have gained autonomy in researching study materials related to course topics. Additionally, the student will be able to critically evaluate training methods and protocols present in sports contexts.

Teaching, Attendance, Course Books and Assessment
- Teaching
Practical lessons on the field.
- Innovative teaching methods
The student, in the practical part, will be invited to take on the role of teacher, both with reference to sports training and school lessons, for a realistic immersion in their future work.
At random times, the student is asked to self-assess during a "knowledge check", to independently realize the possible parts with gaps in their preparation up to that given moment free from grading problems.
- Attendance
The student must attend 65% of the lessons.
- Course books
They will be communicated at the beginning of the lessons.
For further information, we recommend:
- Research and teaching: movement analysis and new technologies, Giuseppe Baldassarre, Guida Ed.
- Performance analysis in team sports, Duarte Araujo, Pedro Passos, Anna Yolossovirch, Calzetti and Mariucci.
- Assessment
Elaboration, in itinere, of written reports assigned by the teacher and regarding the construction of the training.
- Disability and Specific Learning Disorders (SLD)
Students who have registered their disability certification or SLD certification with the Inclusion and Right to Study Office can request to use conceptual maps (for keywords) during exams.
To this end, it is necessary to send the maps, two weeks before the exam date, to the course instructor, who will verify their compliance with the university guidelines and may request modifications.
