Learning Objectives

The Laboratory aims to integrate theoretical and practical parts on the knowledge of theories relating to the general laws regulating the development of human movement, its ontogenesis, the phases of motor learning and its manifestations, through exercise and motor experimentation. The application part in the gym will mainly concern the evolution and development of: 1) basic units of movement 2) motor and expressive skills 3) coordinative and conditional motor skills 4) methods of realizing human movement in addition to the use of different teaching/learning methodologies.

Program

Practical part;

  • The evolution of motor skills from 0 to 12 years
  • The body schema
  • The basic units of movement
  • Balance
  • Running
  • Jumping
  • General dynamic coordination
  • Segmental and intersegmental coordination
  • Movement coupling
  • Motor combination
  • Rhythm
  • Kinesthetic differentiation
  • Motor imagination
  • Muscle strength
  • Joint mobility
  • Application of motor skills and motor abilities possessed in free body and on large equipment In a first phase the exercises will be guided, in a second phase the students will have to look for personal solutions, adapting their choices to the level of motor skills and abilities possessed.
  • Learning Achievements (Dublin Descriptors)

At the end of the course, the student must demonstrate: - Knowledge and understanding: Be able to understand the specific terminology of physical education, to understand the fundamental differences in the stages of motor development from early childhood to adulthood, to understand the specificity and classification of motor skills and abilities. Be able to transfer this knowledge to a practical setting. - Knowledge and understanding, applied: He/she must also be able to apply this knowledge in a practical setting by designing motor learning paths taking into account the age of the subject in question, the characteristics of what must be learned and the specific situations in which a certain movement must be produced. - Autonomy of judgment (making judgments) The student must be able to apply work methodologies in an autonomous and original way in different contexts both from the point of view of the sports specialties and the availability of equipment. - Communication skills: The student must have the ability to communicate his/her knowledge correctly and specifically, even in written form (description of the chosen combination) - Learning skills. The student must be able to independently find information and knowledge using sector publications.
