Learning Objectives
The university course aims to provide useful knowledge to actively participate in the promotion, organization and management of social services; Starting from the knowledge of the legislation both at national level and in the Marche Region that governs social services, the implementing rules of some types of social services will be addressed in depth. Subsequently, students will also be involved through testimonials and guided tours, allowing them to experience organizational and management practice. Fundamental work psychology issues will be analyzed to understand the problems and dynamics of the management of social services
Program
Starting from an analysis of the historical and legislative development of social services in Italy and in the Marche region, particular attention will be paid to the organization and management of the most important social services for the elderly, minors, disabled and mentally disabled, as well as to some issues related to work psychology useful in the management of social services. The course will address the following topics:

As far as the topic is concerned, the student will have to demonstrate:
Mastery of national and regional legislation on social services
Knowledge of social services in areas of interest involving the elderly, minors, disabled and mental disabilities
Knowledge of the welfare, educational and rehabilitation needs of social service users
Knowledge of the dynamics of fragile/family/service users
Ability to plan social services
Knowledge of the main areas of interest concerning work psychology for social services, work motivation, leadership, teamwork, stress, burnout, mobbing, communication, relationship with death.
The student must participate in the management of a social service, understand the problems related to fragile users, involve the family and have knowledge of the main dynamics of group work and the psychological difficulties that care relationships can entail

The teaching material prepared by the lecturer in addition to recommended textbooks (such as for instance slides, lecture notes, exercises, bibliography) and communications from the lecturer specific to the course can be found inside the Moodle platform › blended.uniurb.it

Classroom exercises will be organized (also with experts in the subject) and, if possible, guided tours of social services, on schedule

The evaluation criteria used for the tests are: - relevance and effectiveness of the answers in relation to the contents of the program; - level of articulation of the response; - adequacy of the disciplinary language used.
Oral exam. carrying out ongoing tests to verify the understanding of the topics covered
- Disability and Specific Learning Disorders (SLD)
Students who have registered their disability certification or SLD certification with the Inclusion and Right to Study Office can request to use conceptual maps (for keywords) during exams.
To this end, it is necessary to send the maps, two weeks before the exam date, to the course instructor, who will verify their compliance with the university guidelines and may request modifications.
