Lingua Inglese
Raccomandiamo agli studenti e alle studentesse, al momento dell’immatricolazione o, comunque, prima dell’inizio delle lezioni, di svolgere il Placement Test di lingua inglese messo a disposizione dal Centro Linguistico di Ateneo (CLA), al fine di autovalutare le proprie conoscenze iniziali. Sulla base degli esiti del test e delle eventuali carenze riscontrate, è possibile frequentare gli appositi corsi messi a disposizione dal CLA e il Lettorato di livello A2+/B1, che verrà erogato nel Secondo Semestre (Docente: Patricia Barzotti) ed è rivolto agli studenti di I, II e III anno.
Al terzo anno di corso, gli studenti avranno la possibilità di optare per l'insegnamento a scelta di Lingua Inglese.
Lingua Inglese (Livello B1, esame opzionale del III anno) - Primo Semestre

L'obiettivo del corso è fornire agli studenti gli strumenti per comprendere testi scritti e orali al livello B1/B1+ e produrre testi semplici e fluidi su argomenti familiari e di interesse personale. Parte delle lezioni saranno dedicate ad affrontare i principali argomenti grammaticali. Gli studenti avranno, inoltre, la possibilità di analizzare brani attinenti al settore educativo.
La prova d'esame consisterà in una parte scritta, volta a valutare le abilità di comprensione del testo e le conoscenze grammaticali e lessicali, e in una orale, in cui verranno valutate la comprensione e le capacità espressive in contesti diversi.

Al quarto anno di corso, tutti gli studenti dovranno sostenere l'IDONEITA' DI LINGUA INGLESE B2, che comprende una parte scritta ed una orale. Il superamento della prova scritta è preclusivo alla prova orale.
La prova scritta prevede una Reading Comprehension e lo svolgimento di esercizi di grammatica e lessico di livello B2. Questa parte viene curata dalla Dr.ssa Nadia Stevenson presso il Centro Linguistico di Ateneo (CLA). La prova orale consiste nella discussione (esposizione, domande vertenti sulla comprensione, sul lessico e sulla grammatica) di uno dei testi analizzati durante le lezioni frontali. I criteri di valutazione della prova orale saranno i seguenti: a) capacità di articolare ed esprimere un pensiero complesso con strutture linguistiche adeguate; b) adeguatezza del lessico e delle costruzioni grammaticali al livello B2; c) compatibilità del grado di scioltezza del discorso con il livello B2. Ai fini del superamento di detta idoneità, si consiglia fortemente la frequenza all'insegnamento dedicato qui sotto descritto:

Il corso ha la finalità di consolidare la preparazione grammaticale e le tecniche di lettura degli studenti ai fini del superamento della prova di idoneità B2.

Per gli studenti di IV e V anno, è anche disponibile un lettorato (Docente: Patrizia Barzotti) di livello B1+. Tale lettorato viene erogato nel Primo Semestre il lunedì dalle 9 alle 11 (Palazzo Volponi, aula D6).

Si ricorda, inoltre, che per ogni annualità (I, II, III, IV e V anno) è prevista obbligatoriamente l'iscrizione e la frequenza a un Laboratorio di Lingua Inglese. Tali laboratori, pur prevedendo una parte dedicata al consolidamento lessicale e grammaticale, sono dedicati alla Didattica della Lingua Inglese alla Scuola Primaria e dell'Infanzia. Students are strongly recommended to do the English Language placement test Placement Test as soon as their application is accepted or, in any case, BEFORE the beginning of the classes. This test has been made available by CLA (University Center for Modern Languages) for the purpose of allowing students to self-evaluate their knowledge of English. On the basis of the result of the test, students are given the opportunity to attend both the English courses offered by CLA at different levels CLA courses and the English Language workshop (A2+/B1 level), which will be available to all the students in their I, II or III year in the Second Semester. It will be led by Dr. Patricia Barzotti. Students are warmly invited to attend.
Students in their third year will have the opportunity to choose the optional course of English Language:
English Language (Level B1, third-year optional exam) - First Semester
Lecturer: Patricia Barzotti
The purpose of this course is to provide students with the suitable tools to understand written and oral texts at B1//B1+ level and to produce simple and fluid texts dealing both with familiar topics and issues of personal interest. Part of the lessons will be devoted to the main grammar topics. In addition, the students will have the possibility to analyze a choice of passages in the educational field.
The exam will consist of a written part and an oral part. The written part will evaluate the reading comprehension skills, in addition to grammar and lexis. The oral part will evaluate listening comprehension and verbal communication skills in different contexts.

In their fourth year, students will have to take a B2 QUALIFYING EXAMINATION, which includes both a written part and an oral part. Students can access the oral part only after passing the written test.
The written part includes a Reading Comprehension and some grammar and vocabulary exercises around B2 level. This part is supervised by Dr. Nadia Stevenson at Centro Linguistico di Ateneo (CLA). The oral part consists in the discussion (presentation plus comprehension, grammar and vocabulary questions) of one of the texts analyzed during the lessons. The assessment criteria for the oral part will be based on: a) ability to articulate and express a complex thought by making use of adequate language structures; b) adequacy of lexis and grammatical constructions to level B2; c) showing a degree of fluency which might be compatible with level B2.

A B1+ workshop is available both to fourth and fifth-year students. It is led by Dr. Patricia Barzotti on Mondays, 9.00 to 11.00 a.m., at Palazzo Volponi, room D6. Students are warmly invited to attend.
