Learning Objectives
The course aims to direct the student to the use of techniques and methods for the detection and graphical representation for the purposes of their analytical and synthetic problems of the graphic documentation for the restoration of cultural heritage.
CAD course provides all the essential information necessary to use properly and independently AUTOCAD program both in two-dimensional three-dimensional mode.
The course will develop a number of applications with digital survey instruments.

Learning Achievements (Dublin Descriptors)
Ability to analyze the structure of the graphic works of figurative art and recognition of the geometric shape of the building in relation to its position in space. Ability to represent and model with digital scale artifacts instruments through different methods and techniques of graphic representation, ability to identify and reconstruct the two-dimensional and three-dimensional methods of representation.
Teaching Material
The teaching material prepared by the lecturer in addition to recommended textbooks (such as for instance slides, lecture notes, exercises, bibliography) and communications from the lecturer specific to the course can be found inside the Moodle platform › blended.uniurb.it
Teaching, Attendance, Course Books and Assessment
- Teaching
The course consists of a series of lectures about the framework of the discipline and application examples. Are expected to complement the lectures, practical exercises to develop a form of awareness, the degree of visual education and the ability to translate through the medium of graphic representation of cultural property in the plane and in space.
- Attendance
Recommended frequency of lessons.
And practical exercises are an integral part of the final preparation and should be completed in all their parts.
- Course books
Moretti & Vitali, Bergamo 1999.
- BORTOLOTTI I., Grafica al computer per il restauratore, Il Prato, Saonara (PD) 2006
- BARATIN L., GRASSI V., Topografia Teoria, aplicazioni esercizi, Pitagora editrice, Bologna 2010
- DE LUCA L., La photomedélisation architecturale, Eyrolles Parigi, 2009.
- BARTOLUCCI D., Principi di laser scanning 3D, Dario Flaccovio Editore, 2009
- Assessment
The examination consists of:
• a graphic evidence concerning the representation methods covered during the course
• an oral test articulated in an interview on the basis of the summary exercises dealing with the topics covered in the lectures and in the exposition and evaluation of the drawings produced as part of the exercises (thesis of individual study and / or group).
- Disability and Specific Learning Disorders (SLD)
Students who have registered their disability certification or SLD certification with the Inclusion and Right to Study Office can request to use conceptual maps (for keywords) during exams.
To this end, it is necessary to send the maps, two weeks before the exam date, to the course instructor, who will verify their compliance with the university guidelines and may request modifications.
