Learning Objectives

This is not a conventional course that students must attend from start to finish. Rather, it is a series of independent lessons addressing tricky grammar points that often cause confusion. Hence, the airm of the course is to clarify these confusing areas of grammar. Students can attend all the lessons or they can simply choose the topics that interest them and only attend the lessons in which those particular topics are dealt with.

Program

The following grammar topics will be explored through the reading and analysis of texts, PowerPoint presentations, exercises and communicative activities using the target grammar:

:future forms;  present perfect vs. past simple; present perfect simple vs. present perfect continuous; narrative tenses; commonly confused verbs:; commonly confused nouns and adjectives;  use of articles; the passive form; defining and non-defining relative clauses; verb patterns

The teaching material prepared by the language assistant in addition to recommended textbooks (such as for instance slides, lecture notes, exercises, bibliography) and communications from the language assistant specific to the course can be found inside the Moodle platform › blended.uniurb.it
