Learning Objectives
Development of the language skills in Arabic such as required from the QCER to reach levels A2/B1. The course aims to develop the cognitive and linguistic skills of the Arabic language through authentic texts and listening in order to reach a good Intermediate level. The student should be able to understand, communicate, write, and read texts regarding formal and informal letters, organize touristic trips, book/cancel a hotel room or a conference meeting, and be able to use the basic lexical of the business world. Besides, students should understand the language needed to work as mediators.
Program
The program of this year should cover a wide range of topics such as the description of recent and actual events. Students should be able to summarize different situations. More material will be given about politics and geopolitics of the Arab world. The material used will be given by the teacher throughout the year.
At the end of the year, students will go through a final exam covering all the four skills required by the QCER.

The teaching material prepared by the language assistant in addition to recommended textbooks (such as for instance slides, lecture notes, exercises, bibliography) and communications from the language assistant specific to the course can be found inside the Moodle platform › blended.uniurb.it
