This course is entirely taught in Italian. Study materials can be provided in the foreign language and the final exam can be taken in the foreign language.

Texts by the following authors will be presented and distributed in class.

M. Eliade, Mito e realtà.

Golovkin, Tredjakovsky, Majkov, Cheraskov, Sumarokov - 18th century.

Pushkin (Prisoner of the Caucasus), Lermontov (Demon, The Fugitive), Tolstoy (The Cossacks), Gončarov (Son Oblomova), Chekhov (The Steppe) - 19th century.

Bunin (The Grammar of Love), Gor'kij (Confession), V. Ivanov (Svetomir), Skrjabin (Prometheus) - 20th cent.

Assessment

The exam consists of 3 open-ended questions and it lasts 90 minutes.

The test will verify the knowledge fo the course texts (10/30), the ability to critically analyse them (10/30), the ability to argue one's own theses in Italian (10/30).  

Disabilità e DSA

Le studentesse e gli studenti che hanno registrato la certificazione di disabilità o la certificazione di DSA presso l'Ufficio Inclusione e diritto allo studio, possono chiedere di utilizzare le mappe concettuali (per parole chiave) durante la prova di esame.

A tal fine, è necessario inviare le mappe, due settimane prima dell’appello di esame, alla o al docente del corso, che ne verificherà la coerenza con le indicazioni delle linee guida di ateneo e potrà chiederne la modifica.

Pushkin (The prisoner of the Caucasus), Lermontov (Demon, The Fugitive), Tolstoy (The Cossacks), Gončarov (Son Oblomova), Čechov (The Steppe) - 19th century.

Bunin (The Grammar of Love), Gor'kij (Confession), V. Ivanov (Svetomir), Skrjabin (Prometheus) - 20th cent.

In addition, one must study well: M. Eliade, Myth and Reality.

Assessment

The course program lasts 1 academic year.

It is not true, as it is written above, that this is a 'Course with optional materials in a foreign language': the materials in foreign language will be compulsory for both attending and non-attending students. Unfortunately, the system does not allow for any other choice of materials (sic!).
