Learning Objectives

According to the Common European Framework of Reference, the attainment of level B1 enables one to meet the communicative needs in various socio-cultural, academic, and professional spheres and prepares one to obtain the 1st level certification of Russian language proficiency (TRKI) required for admission to universities or institutions of higher education in the Russian Federation. Situations in which the foreigner must navigate with some ease and realize his or her communicative intentions include in addition to the everyday sphere the administrative offices, the ristornate, the museum, the station, the airport, the hotel, and etc. Communicative skills essential for articulately describing one's own experiences, emotions, dreams, plans and events, motivating one's choices and expressing evaluations are acquired; for understanding unadapted texts both informative and descriptive. The themes within which oral and written communication takes place concern some particular types of tourism (cultural, sustainable, food and wine), the guided city and museum tour, study vacations and sports vacations. The minimum vocabulary reaches 2300 lexical units.

Program

Oral test mode:

- The language assessment consists of free conversation that will focus on topics developed during the course aimed at verifying knowledge of cultural content, correct use of grammatical structures and mastery of the lexical repertoire to ascertain the level of linguistic competence.

Written test mode:

- Writing of a text of at least 200 words on one of the topics covered in the course. The composition will be evaluated, using the criterion of acquired linguistic competence, i.e., mastery of language and the ability to apply in written expression the theoretical knowledge related to the grammatical and lexical contents of the course (Level B1). In addition, the following assessment parameters will be applied:

- grammatical and syntactic correctness

- lexical correctness

- content

- spelling+calligraphy

Teaching Material

The teaching material prepared by the language assistant in addition to recommended textbooks (such as for instance slides, lecture notes, exercises, bibliography) and communications from the language assistant specific to the course can be found inside the Moodle platform › blended.uniurb.it

Innovative teaching methods

In addition to traditional fontal lectures, the course includes use of innovative teaching methodologies such as Role Playing, Brain Storming, Problem Solving, Goal-Based-Scenarios aimed at active and collaborative learning by students, including through the use of digital technologies to make teaching, for equal effectiveness, more engaging and engaging.
