The course intends to provide the students with a broad overview of the modern microeconomics principles. The behaviour of agents in their role of buyers and sellers as well as the performance of markets both under perfectly and imperfectly competitive regimes will be analyzed. During the course a specific attention will be paid to the analysis of strategic interaction and game-theoretic treatment of the agents' behaviour.
- Introduction: the objectives of microeconomic analysis
- The modern approach to Microeconomics
- Consumer theory
- The theory of the firm
- Markets and prices
- Strategic approach: game theory and imperfectly competitive markets
Although not strictly compulsory, having passed successfully a Calculus exam greatly facilitates the understanding of this course.

Lectures and classes for a total of 62 hours.
To attend the lectures and the classes is highly recommended to absorb appropriately the wide material of the course.
