Curriculum

Dr. Gian Marco Elisi is currently a post-doctoral researcher (RTD-A) in the Computer-Assisted Molecular Design laboratory of the Deparment of Biomolecular Sciences of the University of Urbino. His research activies revoleve around computational medicinal chemistry, in particular free-energy simulations for perspective drug design and the application of virtual screening protocols applied to ultra-large libraries. He is coauthor of 10 scientific articles, mainly focusing on melatonin receptors and melatonergic ligands. His doctoral studies were supervised by Prof. Silvia Rivara at the Food and Drug Department of the University of Parma. He graduated in Industrial Pharmacy (CTF) with 110/110 at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia. During his PhD secondment, he spent a period abroad at the University of Geneva. Additionaly, he took the position of Senior Scientist at the Molecular Architects department of Evotec in Verona in 2023, before joining the University of Urbino as junior faculty member.
