Associate Professor of Molecular Biology, Department of Biomolecular Sciences (DiSB), from December 2017 to date; Staff scientist (Technologist) from June 1990 to December 2017.
She achieved her PhD in Biochemical and Pharmacological in February 2006.
After graduation in Biological Sciences (1996) she was trained in genetics and received two grants in Human Genetics (1987-1990) to study the molecular bases of the Cystic Fibrosis and Huntington’s Corea.
From 1994 to 2000, she was interested in isolating and completing the sequence of the Hexokinase type I gene (HK1).
Starting in the 2000s, she turned her interests to the molecular oncology field and pharmacogenetics, addressed mainly to the translational studies of colorectal and gastric cancer.
