IT - Luca Renzi si è laureato nel 1990, dal 1991 al 1994 è stato lettore di lingua italiana all’università di Tübingen. Ha conseguito nel 1998 il dottorato in germanistica presso l’Università di Pavia con una tesi su Joseph Görres e il romanticismo di Heidelberg. Dopo soggiorni presso l’università di Tübingen, dove ha svolto ricerche sull’applicazione dell’informatica alla lessicografia e alle edizioni critiche si è formato all’università di Basilea sull’edizione dell’opera di Friedrich Nietzsche. Ha conseguito nel 1999 una borsa post-doc e ha svolto un soggiorno di ricerca finanziato dal CNR presso l’École normale supérieure di Parigi, Institut des Textes et Manuscrits Modernes del C.N.R.S.
Dopo aver insegnato all’Università dell’Aquila, nel 2001 è divenuto ricercatore universitario di Letteratura tedesca presso l’Università di Urbino, per poi essere chiamato nel 2016 come professore associato. I suoi ambiti di ricerca sono la Romantik, la Literarische Moderne, Friedrich Nietzsche, Alfred Döblin e gli studi culturali. A partire dal 2005 ha tradotto e curato l’edizione italiana di diversi volumi dell’antropologo e studioso della cultura materiale Hermann Bausinger.
Ha tenuto corsi come visiting professor nelleseguenti università: Tübingen, Freiburg i. B., Strasburgo, ICHEC Bruxelles, Glasgow City College, Galway-NUI, Stettino, Eötvös Loránd Budapest, Valenciennes-Hauts-de-France, Valladolid, Amburgo, VDU Kaunas, Europa Universität Viadrina Frankfurt/Oder.
È stato coordinatore di parte italiana della Conferenza di ricerca trilaterale su Harry Graf Kessler presso il centro italo-tedesco di Villa Vigoni (Titolo: “Grenzenlose Moderne, Gemeinschaft der Staaten – Symbiose der Kulturen – Begegnung der Künste im Tagebuchwerk von Harry Graf Kessler“), in collaborazione con l’Université de Strasbourg (Francia) e il Deutsches Literaturarchiv di Marbach (Germania) negli anni 2011-2013.
È membro della Associazione Italiana di Germanistica (AIG), della Internationale Alfred-Döblin-Gesellschaft e della Görres-Gesellschaft zur Pflege der Wissenschaft.
Fa parte del comitato di redazione di Linguæ & – Rivista di lingue e culture moderne.
È direttore della collana “InterCultura – studi culturali tedeschi” presso l’editore ETS (Pisa) e della collana "Cultura e arte del mondo di lingua tedesca" presso l’editore Campanotto (Udine).
È guest editor della rivista “International Journal of Literature and Arts” (IJLA).
Ha conseguito l’Abilitazione Scientifica Nazionale alle funzioni di professore universitario di Prima Fascia nel Settore Concorsuale 10/M1 - Lingue, Letterature e Culture germaniche.

ENG - Luca Renzi graduated in 1990; from 1991 to 1994 he was a lecturer in Italian at the University of Tübingen in Germany. He received his PhD in German Studies at the University of Pavia in 1998 with a thesis on Joseph Görres and the Romanticism of Heidelberg. After staying at the University of Tübingen, where he carried out researches on the application of computer science to lexicography and critical editions, he trained at the University of Basel on the edition of the work by Friedrich Nietzsche. In 1999 he obtained a post-doc scholarship and carried out a research stay funded by the CNR at the École normale supérieure in Paris, Institut des Textes et Manuscrits Modernes of the CNRS.
After teaching at the University of L'Aquila, since 2001 he has been a university researcher of German literature at the University of Urbino, where he got 2016 associate professor. His research fields are Romantik, Literarische Moderne, Friedrich Nietzsche, Alfred Döblin and Cultural studies. Since 2005 he has translated and edited the Italian edition of several volumes by the anthropologist and scholar of material culture Hermann Bausinger. He has held courses as a visiting professor at the following universities: Tübingen, Freiburg i. B., Strasbourg, ICHEC Brussels, Glasgow City College, Galway-NUI, Szczecin, Eötvös Loránd Budapest, Valenciennes-Hauts-de-France, Valladolid, Hamburg, VDU Kaunas, Europa University Viadrina in Frankfurt/Oder.
He was coordinator of the Italian part of the trilateral research conference on Harry Graf Kessler at the Italian-German center of Villa Vigoni (Title: "Grenzenlose Moderne, Gemeinschaft der Staaten - Symbiose der Kulturen - Begegnung der Künste im Tagebuchwerk von Harry Graf Kessler"), in collaboration with the Université de Strasbourg (France) and the Deutsches Literaturarchiv at Marbach (Germany) in the years 2011-2013.
